Hannah Marsh, BSc in Applied Paramedic Science, joined the surgery in May 2017. Hannah is a Paramedic who was until recently working for the South West Ambulance Service and will work full time at the surgery. Hannah brings a portfolio of skills to her work at the surgery.
Initially, her role will be to enhance patient access to appointments at the surgery providing same day access. Additionally, Hannah will be providing home visits for same day requests.
Hannah’s role will also provide the surgery with additional resource to support, where needed, patients following their discharge from recent admissions to hospital.
Stalbridge Surgery has double the percentage of patients over the age of 65 years compared to the national average. With the increase in the elderly population with multiple comorbidities and frailty Hannah will also be supporting those with advanced frailty in their homes.
