| Most adults will have received routine adult immunisations. However, certain foreign travel exposes the traveller to different risks. The precise recommendations for travel vaccines vary from time to time and country to country.
The current recommended websites for travel immunisation and malarial advice are the Nathnac (http://www.nathnac.org/travel/index.htm) and Sanofi (https://vis.spmsd.co.uk) websites. These sites have extensive country specific travel immunisation and malarial advice.
We would encourage consultation for discussion and administration of your requirements at least 2 months before travel. Please inform reception of the nature of the appointment.
So as we can advise you on a detailed immunisation plan, having assessed your previous immunisations from your medical record please complete our online travel immunisation questionnaire. We aim to reply to this within 48 hours (excluding weekends) with a detailed itinery of the immunisations we recommend.
You may wish to visit our 'medical care whilst travelling' page for further advice, including details of the European Health Insurance Card EHIC.
Please be advised that our online travel form is for use only by patients registered at Stalbridge Surgery.
Certain immunisations do incur a private charge as they are not covered by the NHS schedule of fees.
