Not in my case
None
It would be of value if all of the available Doctor appointments were shown on line - it seems only a small portion of the Doctor's availability is displayed - don 't understand why.
Repeat prescriptions - I usually order them on-line (very good), but there have been a couple of occasions recently when I have subsequently been to pick up items from the Chemist, and they have not received the scripts. I then had to return to the surgery pharmacist, who stated that they had been sent to the Chemist. So the patient is caught in the middle, chasing medication.
No. All is fine at Stalbridge, thank you
n/a
That answering phone, to be told over and over again that you are next in the que
no
I come from a large built-up town where access to medical services was difficult to say the least. I moved to a small village in Kent & a rural practise where the staff knew my name (!!) & you can imagine my pleasant surprise when I came here to find that this was not an isolated event. THANKS!
Weekend access
Yes approach to patients as treating as time wasters could be improved
I am totally satisfied.
a few more parking spaces for patients would be nice; most of the cars appear to belong to the staff!
Possibly the waiting time when I arrive for an appointment as I would normally have an appointment during my work hours.
Are home visits readily provided if needed?
As with women having a "Well Woman Clinic" there is I believe scope for "Well Man Clinic" run by a male nurse.
I always feel that I am treated as an individual and not an outsider, like all patients at the practice we are made to feel welcome. Unlike some practices that I know of at Stalbridge Practice one hand knows what the other is doing like a well oiled clock
Generally very pleased with care but would like the option of evening and/or weekend appointments as I work in Yeovil and it's difficult to get home in time for present surgery hours.
not really.
A litle more privacy at reception especially when receptionists are talking amongst themselves which is sometimes about patients. An excellent. Also, when Dr Clayton 's and the nurse's room have their windows open, it is possible to hear converations outside.
A minimal Saturday morning surgery could be a posibility - perhaps one Doctor and 1 nurse for a few hours.
no
I am aware that there is little that can be done about it but I have previously mentioned the dangers of bad parking by people visiting the surgery who insist on parking either side of the the surgery entrance. If there hasn't yet been a serious accident caused by this, it is only a matter of time. At least I suppose the accident will be handy for medical help. Stalbridge High Street has become so regularly obstructed that I now often drive to and from Henstridge to the surgery via the A30. Somewhat longer but less of a pain - not much you can do about High Street congestion though!
I would like to see the surgery and dispensary open for a few hours on a Saturday morning, this would make it easier for people who are working Monday to Friday to receive medical attention without the need to take time off work.
Website much improved but there are still some times when cannot be accessed particularly at weekends. Prescriptions not always transferred to Local Pharmacy.
The dispensary opening times, It would be helpful if it could open at lunchtimes even if its only once or twice a week.
Sometimes it would be nice to spend more time with a doctor but appreciate this is not always possible because of the pressure of their work.
I always feel that I must hurry with any discussion of my symptoms. probably my own fault as I am not made to feel that I should hurry by the Doctor, but I always do come away feeling it was all a bit of a rush.
Really happy, I think we are very fortunate to have such a good surgery.
More toys for children in the waiting area, perhaps some books as they may be less disruptive to the other patients.
Fully satisfied
I and many others think you despartely need a female GP. The nurse practitioners are very good but a female GP would still be beneficial to the surgery, I my self consider moving to a pratcice like Sturminster or Milborne Port where there is a female and I know there are lots of people in the vvillage who feel the same
Not really doing a great job!
Luckily I don't come often enough to have any critism's to add
No
Not really I have been a smoker since the age of 25 years - too late to stop! However , I don't drink - which is worse?
answering the phone perhaps rather than being put on to a holding line.
More privacy at the reception desk
Maybe waiting times, usually my appointment is late due to running behind schedule
I think the surgery is well run and we are very lucky when you hear about other practices in the media
I feel that "Out of Hours" care by our own GPs when possible, would be better, than being seen by an unknown doctor.
All OK
Doctor Clayton, Receptionist, Dispensary and Nurses always run efficiently and always considerate.
Very difficult to see any ways of improvement.
I also consider the quality and care to be of the highest level, that others should aspire to.
Need I say anthing!!!
Surgey open on Saturday mornings
No
I think we are very lucky with the standards of care at this surgery, the only thing is that we ladies would sometimes like to see a lady doctor, I know that Louise is very highly qualified but we could still do with a lady doctor as well even just part time.
Sometimes when waiting for an appointment, telephone converstaions between the receptionist and patients can be overheard and although only 'one side' of the converstion can be heard, sometimes more discression could be used
I don't really think there is
I am looked after very well at Stalbridge Surgery
Call waiting or message to say how many calls ahead instead of constant frustrating engaged signal.
