- Sean Downes from the Local Community Mental Health Team, runs a Triage Service at the surgery.
- This service has been developed to allow specialist services like mental health to work in Primary Care in order to respond quickly, and hopefully, effectively, to people experiencing a wide range of mental health problems.
- It comprises of appointments of 30 to 45 minutes, at the end of which an initial formulation of the mental health problem and associated maintaining factors should be reached. Based on this, a number of options can be explored.
- Regular triage clinics happen on a Monday afternoon between 2:00pm and 5:00pm at the surgery premises.
