| CADAS is a service for people affected by alcohol, illegal drugs and/or prescribed drugs.
CADAS is a friendly confidential service that offers help and support to those who feel they can't be drug or alcohol free and also those who choose abstinence as an aim.
The staff at CADAS are a team who are drawn from a variety of professional backgrounds and who are all trained to help people with drug and alcohol related problems.
CADAS provides the following help:
- counselling, advice and support for people affected by alcohol, prescribed or illicit drugs
- support and counselling for families, friends and colleagues of people who have an alcohol or drug related problem
- needle and syringe exchange
- support for you through your GP if prescribing is going to be helpful in dealing with your drug or alcohol problem
- community detoxification programmes and in-patient detox if appropriate
- support from other agencies who advise people with drug and alcohol related problems
- education and training about drugs and alcohol issues
- alternative therapies.
