| On 22nd April 2005 the first Paediatric Resuscitation demonstration took place at Stalbridge Surgery. This was organised by Karen Wheat, Health Visitor. The intended audience were mothers with young children from babies to 5 year olds.
The afternoon started with an initial talk on the techniques of life saving should a child become desperately unwell. Also a resuscitation doll was available for a practical demonstration and for the mothers attending to practice what they had learnt in the afternoon.
“This first session was a great success, and we intend to run more sessions of a similar nature in the future,” quoted Karen. The mums that attended were pleased to learn these essential skills and about the event mum Tracey Turpin said that it was “very interesting and really enjoyed it”. |
