In order to ensure our website can be accessed by as many patients as possible, we have carried out tests using a variety of different browsers, (including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Opera).
Increase Font Size | Different Screen Colours
Increase Font Size
The method for changing the font size on your browser will vary depending upon which web browser you are using:
Microsoft Internet Explorer (All versions)
- Open your browser window
- Click on either the 'Tools' or 'View' menu and select 'internet options'
- Under the General Tab, click on the button 'Accessibility'
- Click in the tick-box labelled 'Ignore font sizes now showing on web pages' to display a tick
- Click OK, then OK again to close the internet options dialog box
- Click on the 'View' menu and select 'text size'. From the second pop-up menu click on the text size you prefer.
Netscape Navigator 4+ Users
- Open your browser window
- Click on the 'Edit' menu and select 'Preferences'
- Select 'Appearance'
- Select 'Font'. Change the 'variable' and 'fixed width font' to your preferred option.
Netscape Navigator Versions 6+
- Open your browser window
- Hold the Ctrl key down and press the plus (+) key at the same time. This will increase the font size of the text on the screen. Repeat the procedure until the text is the desired size
- If you need to make the text smaller press Ctrl on your keyboard and the minus ( - ) key, repeating the above procedure as required.
Different Screen Colours
To alter the default colours or colour schemes using Internet Explorer:
- Open your browser window
- Click on the Tools menu and select 'Internet options'
- Under the General Tab click on the 'Colours' button. Click in the tick box to deselect labelled 'Use Windows colours' . Adjust accordingly by clicking on the colour button next to 'text' and 'background. Select OK
- Select 'Accessibility' and click in the tick-box labelled 'Ignore colours specified on Web pages'
- Select OK, then OK again to close the internet options dialog box.
